It is not often that a small country village celebrates so many milestones. Napier has that privilege in 2013 so the Celebration Festival wraps all these into one 2 week long event.
Filled to the brim with events, activities, sharing and participation “Napier 175″ will lead the way in village celebration.
Dates: 10 November – 24 November 2013 (see some of the events, below)
It is a well documented fact and experienced by many, that Napier boasts a host of “areas of excellence”. This is no truer when one thinks of matters culinary, of fresh and organic produce; art, crafts, music, song and dance, matters environmental, and the list is endless.
The Napier patch or quilt consists of a people… who are busy all year round creating art, crafts, cards, décor and “things just because they can”. The creative flair comes in buckets of talent and expertise filled to the brim with passion for the extra-ordinary and flamboyant, useful and unusual.
We, the residents, are excited about being able to showcase our village but most of all to have a delightful period of fun, sharing and celebration!
The Residents Association has thrown its weight behind the events and the planning has begun in all earnest.
Activities and events are being scheduled, developed around the many themes that make Napier so very special. For the village by the village, using many of the venues as well as private homes and establishments.
Look out for the developing program, just a taste to whet your appetite … (make a note of these dates)
