Sometimes you may want to add a symbol or letter with an accent into your document but what you need doesn’t appear as a key on your keyboard. So you have to search through your options in your document and search for “special characters” – well here’s an easy reference sheet to the most common ones.
All you do is put your cursor in the place you want to put the character, press the “Alt” key and at the same time enter the number next to the symbol you want to use, when you have done that and release the keys, the symbol appears in the position you need it to be.
