I have the right to an opinion … so wind your neck in, sunshine!

The thinkerAccording to the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Article 19, I have the right to the “freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.”

It is just good manners to express that opinion in a “civilised” way … but if you “take offense” at my opinion must I adjust my opinion in order for you to feel better? I don’t think so, because if I change my mind to accommodate your sensitive soul, you’ll still have taken offense and will continue to sit there with a “dikbek (see definition, below).”

As I have said before … I have an opinion about everything, if you don’t think you’ll like what it is, don’t ask. Please just ignore me! I have learned in life that I don’t have…
