“Mooiloop – TV” of SABC2 will be visiting Napier on Thursday 28th January at 9.00am . to record a short performance of myself, Rudi and Deon in the Dutch Reformed Church in Napier.

You are welcome to come and attend the event, and possible be interviewed by the TV crew and get a behind- the- scenes look at how a TV program is filmed and put together. A really once off opportunity for a fun filled morning. Hope to see you there.

Will you “act” or “apathy”?

On 28 November, 6 schools in Gauteng and Western Cape will appear in the Supreme Court in Johannesburg on charges of practicing Christian faith in schools. Christian attorneys will be representing them. It is expected that this case will be referred to the Constitutional Court. The enemy has stolen enough.  Please pray for the attorneys and judge to be guided through Godly intervention and wisdom.

Our country is falling to pieces while Christians look on in silence, while “sangomas” throw bones during opening of Parliament to eliminate God-fearing principles out of our schools.

Come on Christians, let us stand together in prayer to withstand this force of darkness that wants to destroy our country.  May God meet with President Zuma to completely turn his life around.

Do not take this request up lightly as the freedom of our Christian faith is at stake.  Please could you forward this message to as many fellow Christians as you can to crumble down this wall of resistance.  Amen!!

There are many readers of this blog who do not identify with this post, declaring themselves to be atheist, agnostic or of another faith that is not Christian – regardless, the crux of this petition is about religious freedom as outlined in our Constitution. The action on the 28th November is a move by the Government to restrict such freedom and impose what the State wants on a particular group, and not what citizens want for themselves and the community to which they belong.

Eleven concerts will be performed in the historic churches of Greyton and Genadendal, as well as in smaller venues in these two neighbouring villages. The focus of the festival is on classical music concerts, but there will also be workshops, a concert for children, art exhibitions, wine tastings and various food events.

Napier played its part …

On the 11th hour of the 11th day in the 11th month of 1918, the armistice was signed between Germany & the allied forces, thus bringing The Great War (WW1) to an end. It was called the war to end all wars & was a bloody trench warfare in which millions of soldiers & civilians alike lost their lives. Armistice Day & Remembrance day overlap on the 11th of November.

“Lest we forget the ultimate sacrifice made by so many so that we may have the liberty which we have today. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we shall remember them.”

Remembrance Day Service – Napier

There is a Remembrance Day Service at the NG Church, Napier tomorrow, 10th November. The Service begins at 09h30 and will include a wreath-laying ceremony by a number of dignitaries on behalf of groups in the community.

All are welcome – and for those who have served, or who represent a member of the forces, medals may be worn.
